This notice explains what we do with the details you give us when you register your interest in Makoto. We collect very little, and we use it for one purpose.

Who we are

Makoto Solutions Ltd is the controller of your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17318119, with our registered office at Flat 3, 23 South Parade, Whitley Bay, NE26 2RE, United Kingdom. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.

What we collect

• Your first name, last name and work email address
• Your phone number, if you choose to give it
• Anything you tell us in the optional message box
• Whether you would like to apply for our design partner programme
• A record of your consent: when you gave it and the wording you agreed to

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

Why we use it

To send you a welcome email, to contact you about early access to Makoto and the design partner programme, and to send occasional product updates. We do not use your details for anything else.

Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Who processes it for us

Your details are stored in Zoho CRM and our emails are sent through it. Zoho Corporation acts as our processor under a data processing agreement, and our account is hosted in Zoho's UK data centre. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or for two years after we last heard from you, whichever comes first. If you become a customer, a separate notice will cover that relationship.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
